As Children’s Centre therapists we aim to provide a service in addition to that of the local NHS Speech and Language Therapist.

We work at Footprints on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

You can contact us if you live locally and are concerned about your child’s communication or if you are early years professional who would like to find out about the training we offer or discuss a child.

We support work the Children’s Centre and the local community in a variety of ways.

We work with and train local early years staff:

• In the early identification of speech and language difficulties.

• On how to help children’s development of communication through everyday strategies and changes to the environment.

• On specific activities to target different areas of children’s communication.

In addition we:

• Provide an outreach service to families of young children, working on developing speech and language through play.

• Attend local drop-in and parenting courses to offer advice and ideas.
